Getting Started
To get started, you must log in to the
Oracle Cloud Cost Estimator (https://www.oracle.com/cloud/costestimator.html). From there, you'll be able to start building your estimate.
Once into the estimator, you need to find your service of choice. You can do this by searching for the service, or scrolling through the available options on the page.
After you find the service you wish to add, click the "Load" button on the corresponding tile. Once chosen, a new screen will appear with options that need to be specified for your service, such as quantity, size, etc. Complete all of the fields to get the monthly price for your service.
Once you've set the configuration for your service, click on the "Add Configuration" button to add another service.
After you've add all of the services you intend to use, you are ready to export the file. Before doing so, please take note of the total monthly service cost at the top right of the screen. Please note, all estimates need to be completed in USD (US Dollars). This is necessary for your request.
To export and download the configuration, click on the three dots (...) at the top left of the screen to get the options menu. From here, choose the "Export" option.
On the export window, be sure to first choose the "Export type" as "Javascript Object Notation (JSON)". After that click on the "Export" button. You will be prompted to save the file. Save this new file to a memorable place as you will need to upload it in your request.
That's all there is to it. Once you've got the monthly cost and the downloaded .json file, you can complete your request by uploading the file and entering the dollar amount for your monthly budget request.
